Dear fellow members/associates & friends of Independent Riders Herewith the following update regarding the Rocker Run (launch).
Saturday the 28th of August at 09:00am sees a contingent of Independent Riders and friends assembling at AVBOB, Hancock Street, North End, this being done to honour and respect a fallen Independent Rider, Devon Swatts. All present will then proceed to the Methodist Church in Papenkuils Street, Westering where the service is scheduled to take place at 10:00am. At approximately 11:30 all persons interested in attending the Rocker Run (launch), in aid of our upcoming charity event, The Reunion of the Last Rockers, will assemble at old Khans, Cape Rd (Bathroom Bizarre) for a run to Cape Recife School, our beneficiary for this year’s fund raising, and ending at the VP Club in Victoria Park Drive, off 1st Avenue in Walmer (Home of the Rocker Reunion). This run has been cut short to accommodate the funeral of our fallen member.
Tickets will be available at R50 per person, which includes a metal badge, lucky draw ticket and a braai pack. This will also be the draw day for our raffle tickets, of which there will still be some available at the event, at R10.00 each.
Independent Riders welcome the support of our fellow clubs in our endeavor to raise funds for a worthy cause and hope to see you all there.
My Fellow Members, Friends and Supporters. The Reunion of the Last Rockers for 2010 has been bookmarked for Sat the 25th till Sun the 26th Sep. As per a decision made by the Club Members, this years Reunion will take place at the Victoria Park Sports Club in Port Elizabeth. A full agenda will be posted nearer the time.
